Teenage tennis star Nick Kyrgios hit a career-high ranking of No.35 last week and an Olympic Games berth looms as a potential bucket-list item next year. It's understood Kyrgios has been sounded out about his interest and has even been fitted for a uniform should he be Australia's top-ranked player next year. The top 56 players in the world as of June 6 next year are offered a position in the Olympics. Given Kyrgios is aiming for the top 20 by the end of the year, it looks likely he could secure his place as an Olympian. Kyrgios has teamed up with BMX Olympian Caroline Buchanan as ambassadors for Stomping Ground Collective, last week launching the Westside Acton Park precinct due to be open in May. But next year the Canberrans could be Olympic teammates if Kyrgios' form continues. The 19-year-old has been told he is not allowed to train on court for the next two weeks while he recovers from bone stress in his back. Sponsors are lining up to get a piece of Kyrgios. Malaysia Airlines will give away 20 return economy tickets to Malaysia to mark Kyrgios' 20th birthday on April 27 as well as the chance to win tickets to the Wimbledon men's final in July.
