Records tumbled as more than 400 competitors put their bodies through the ultimate endurance test at the Sri Chinmoy Triple Triathlon around Canberra on Sunday, November 4.

The three-person men’s team of Oliver Bourne, Dylan Cooper and Bajim Armstrong completed the 150-kilometre course in a record time of eight hours, nine minutes and 10 seconds.

Brooke James, Michaela Watts and Sarah Richardson were just as impressive in breaking the women’s three-person record, crossing the line in 10h 18min.

The event has swims in Canberra’s three major lakes — Lake Burley Griffin, Lake Ginninderra and Lake Tuggeranong — and includes mountain biking and running legs on Black Mountain, Mount Majura, Mount Ainslie, Mount Stromlo and Red Hill.
