Reigning NSW Open champion Anthony Brown says the strength of fields in the Canberra leg of the Australian Pro-Am circuit are as strong as any state championship.

Brown will be aiming for his second victory this week when he tees off in the $11,000 Queanbeyan Pro-Am at the Queanbeyan Golf Club on Tuesday.
He faces stiff competition from the likes of veteran Queenslander Terry Price and 2012 Australian PGA champion Daniel Popovic.
"The fields this week playing in the ACT are absolute top-notch," Brown said.
"There are so many good players playing, it's as good as the fields as we get for our state championships like the NSW and Victoria Opens.
"The Pro-Am golf we play has its part in our schedule, but the focus is the other stuff.
"Any time you get to play competitive golf is a chance to improve."
Brown took out the $20,000 Murrumbidgee event on Sunday, but will be looking to bounce back after struggling at Monday's Pro-Am at the Federal Golf Club.
The Victorian is using the Canberra tournaments as practice leading into his debut season in China.
The Canberra swing rounds out with the $11,000 Gold Creek Pro-Am on Wednesday.
