World No.14 Nick Kyrgios was given an ATP ban and fined $A53,000 for his lacklustre effort against Mischa Zverev.

But eight-year-old Caillie Warwick, of Issacs, was given the red carpet treatment and was taken on court with world No.1 Djokovic.

Warwick and mother Michelle were flown to China after winning a junior Hotshots competition to meet Djokovic.

At almost the same time the eyes of the world were on Kyrgios, Warwick was invited to toss the coin ahead of a clash against Andy Murray and trained with Djokovic.

"Meeting [Djokovic] and having a film crew follow us around was pretty strange," Warwick said at training on Thursday.

Mum Michelle added: "They pulled out all the stops for us, we got an upgrade to the penthouse suite, VIP tours and dinner in the players' dining area."

Meanwhile, rising Canberra star Annerly Poulos will play for Australia at the WTA Future Stars event in Singapore this week.

The junior tournament will align with the WTA Finals, where the world's top female players, including Australian Open and US Open champion Angelique Kerber and French Open champion Garbine Muguruza, will compete for the final title of the year.

Poulos, 13, finished at the top of her points table on the future stars program and has established herself as a player to watch.

"It felt great to win my first ITF Junior tournament in Canberra. I am very determined to keep going and hopefully win many more in the future," Poulos said.

"I'm extremely excited to go to Singapore, especially to see the top players play and learn from them."

As well as having the opportunity to play on centre court at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, all competitors will join the top players at the WTA Finals draw ceremony and mingle with legends of the game.

There will be 36 players from 18 countries playing across four days before the final on Sunday.
