It is the exact number of votes he has polled twice in Cricket ACT's DB Robin medal count, the prize awarded to the competition's player of the year.

Both times he has won the medal and had his name inscribed on the perpetual trophy.

The first was in the 2013-14 season, but the fact Devoy's second gong came after leading Tuggeranong to two premierships made it just that little bit sweeter.

"It's been a great year both on an individual and a club level," Devoy said.

"To win the DB Robin again is nice, but it means even more to do so in year where the team has performed extremely well."

Devoy won the award in a landslide, well clear of his nearest rival, an outcome to be expected after he topped the wicket taking charts and finished as the second highest run scorer.

The Tuggeranong skipper registered 723 runs at 45.19 with two centuries, and 51 wickets at 14.45. The premiership winning captain claimed five five-wicket hauls with best figures of 7-72.

The numbers are impressive, but at the halfway point of the season Devoy was far from satisfied.

He had a look over his statistics during the Christmas break and was disappointed in the lack of "true match-winning" performances - so Devoy went to work.

He worked tirelessly on his batting with Darren Richards from the ACT Comets program, it cleared his mind and the results spoke for themselves.

A century and a five-for against Wests-UC in the first game back was backed up by 95 and another five-wicket haul one game later against ANU.

Devoy delivered another five-for in his next game, but his next big haul was the one he would remember forever.

Devoy delivered a match-winning 5-39 to roll Weston Creek Molonglo for 98 in the second innings of the two-day grand final to clinch Tuggeranong's first Douglas Cup title in 13 years.

Just a few months earlier Devoy had overcome a dislocated finger to guide Tuggeranong to the one-day premiership against the same opposition.

To lift his second trophy of the season, following the one-day Gallop Cup title, made this one the "best club season ever".

"I started playing first grade in Canberra about 10 years ago now, and that was my first Douglas Cup win," Devoy said.

"To win the last game of the season is just always that little bit sweeter so this one is the best by far.

"It was just such a big day for the club - to have one's, two's, and the girls win as well, I think the celebrations of that night are going to stay with people for a long time to come."

Devoy's form surge saw him rewarded with a return to the ACT Comets in the Futures League, a stage he is keen to be on in round one next summer.

His Comets teammate Tom Rogers was named the Futures League competition's player of the year.
