But it was 16-year-old off-spinner Benji Floros who was the second innings hero with five wickets to bowl Tuggeranong to a 92-run win against Ginninderra at Chisholm on Sunday.
After picking up six wickets on Saturday, Ryan returned to finish with figures of 7-29 in Ginninderra's first innings of 101 in reply to Tuggeranong's total of 160.
Tuggeranong raced to 3-150 declared in its second dig behind a half century from Tom Thornton, setting Ginninderra 219 for victory.
Ryan picked up another three wickets for match figures of 10-60, but Floros was the destroyer with 5-36 from 12 overs as Ginninderra collapsed to be all out for 117.
Floros is the youngest of four brothers - oldest sibling Jason is in the Brisbane Heat's squad for the Big Bash League and Matt and Tim have both represented Australia in indoor cricket.
"There's a few times I've taken five wickets and the team's lost, so to get the outright win is what we play for," Ryan said.
"We've struggled a bit this season, so to get that before Christmas is a huge boost for us.
"Benji bowled brilliantly, he bowled a couple of unplayable balls to quality batsmen and got some really key wickets at key times."
Three wickets from Lewis Harman (3-38) helped Eastlake (7-311 dec) restrict Weston Creek Molonglo to 253 and claim first-innings points in its match at Kingston Oval.
ACT Comets opener Kevin Jacob top-scored for Creek with 69 and Blake Dean chipped in with 63, while Eastlake also had solid performances with the ball from Michael Spaseski (2-48) and Josh Bennett (2-49).
Wests/UC picked up first-innings points against ANU with one wicket to spare at Jamison Oval.
After ANU was dismissed for 163 on Saturday, Wests/UC scraped home at 9-164 declared with Brendan Duffy's unbeaten 46 getting the side across the line.
Meanwhile, a magnificent 151 from Liam Greenwood helped North Canberra Gungahlin (6-374) to a draw against Queanbeyan (8-414 dec) in a high-scoring game at Freebody Oval.
The first-grade competition resumes on January 10.
