Canberra soccer was put on the national map in dramatic style as Tuggeranong United qualified for the last 16 in the FFA Cup in a penalty shoot-out.

Tuggeranong's Harry Pettit fired home the match-winning goal to send the Capital Footbal National Premier League minnow through as it eliminated South Hobart on Tuesday night.
The 5-4 win on penalties at KGV Park sets up the possibility of a massive home tie with an A-League side at Viking Park.
That would be the ultimate David v Goliath story - the professionals on lucrative contracts up against the part-timers from Tuggeranong.
But for now, an extremely proud Tuggeranong coach Steve Forshaw is basking in the biggest moment in the club's existence.
"It'll go down in the annals of Tuggeranong history as one of the great performances," Forshaw told The FFA Cup's website.
"To come all the way from Canberra, to play a very, very useful South Hobart outfit and to get the result, puts us in the final 16 of the national competition, the first one, so great effort.
"It's probably the proudest I've been, involving the football team, for a long, long time.''
The Tuggeranong team will arrive back in Canberra on Wednesday afternoon after a long night of well deserved celebrations.
This is a side which has traditionally struggled, with this year's fifth place in the Capital Fooball NPL standings a vast improvement on recent standings.
Last year's shock victory over the Cooma Tigers in the Federation Cup, the ACT's knockout tournament, booked Tuggeranong's spot in the FFA Cup.
However, it wasn't without drama, as Tuggeranong had to appeal the decision from Capital Football to instead hold a pre-season tournament this year to determine its representative.
Tuggeranong will now hope to draw an A-League team for the round of 16 matches on September 16 and 23, shifting from its usual humble surrounds of Kambah to Viking Park if it gets a home tie.
The visitors went behind to South Hobart in the most unlucky of circumstances when Sean Kiddey netted into his own goal in the 69th minute.
But with just five minutes left in normal time, a long throw from Kiddey in the mould of Stoke City's Rory Delap found Zac Munster in the box, who headed it home.
Tuggeranong goalkeeper Rohan Shepherd channelled Mark Schwarzer to pull off a wonderful reflex save in extra-time, before he transformed into Dutch World Cup hero Tim Krul with a crucial stop in the penalty shoot-out.
Pettit calmly put the ball into the bottom left corner to spark wild celebrations.
"Certainly in the first half we were under the pump, scrapping and fighting. We showed a lot of spirit. And in the end, that's what's got us through,'' Forshaw said.
"As the game progressed, we got into it a little bit more, created a couple of chances. And we might have scored, but so could they. Really impressive unit, South Hobart.
"But I'm absolute delighted with the efforts the boys have put in tonight and couldn't be prouder."
In other games, Perth Glory defeated the Newcastle Jets 2-0, St Albans Saints beat Parramatta FC 1-0 and Adelaide United eliminated Wellington Phoenix with a 1-0 victory.
