It took a teammate's busted shoe for Wests/UC all-rounder Joe Cooke to get a bowl, but he made the most of his opportunity with a five-wicket haul.

After coming on midway through an over to replace Adam Hewitt, Cooke finished with the impressive figures of 5-45 in his side's 62-run victory against Tuggeranong at Chisholm Oval in the Gallop Cup on Sunday.
Cooke ripped through the Tuggeranong batting order with his medium pace as Wests/UC bounced back from a disappointing couple of weeks.
The reigning Twenty20 and two-day champions have had a slow start to the season after dealing with the departures of last season's leading run scorer Matt Condon and wicketkeeper Beau McClintock.
Wests/UC captain Ben Oakley was impressed with Cooke's first over and reaped the rewards when he gave him a second.
"He got a wicket with the third ball of his next over, so it all went from there," Oakley said.
"He might have got a bowl later in the day, but there's a bit of competition for spots at the minute.
"When you get your opportunity, you've got to take it and that's what he did."
Cooke's five-wicket haul helped Wests/UC restrict Tuggeranong to 192 in reply to its competitive total of 254.
Wests/UC was led by 16-year-old first-grade debutant Blake McDonald, who top-scored with 60 at the top of the order, while Ethan Bartlett provided great support with 57.
Tuggeranong's English fast bowler Gareth Wade showed his class, taking 5-48 from his 10 overs.
While Wests/UC emerged from a mini-slump, North Canberra Gungahlin continued its strong start to the summer with its third win on the trot.
Norths (5-295) collected a bonus point for the second time in as many days in defeating Eastlake (186) by 111 runs at Kingston Oval.
Worcestershire all-rounder Joe Leach starred with bat and ball, leading the way with 64 runs before backing it up with 3-51.
Norths captain Andrew Barnett was delighted with his side's perfect weekend.
"It's really good to take home 10 points, we couldn't ask for anything more," Barnett said.
"Those two bonus points could make a big difference at the end of the one-day season.
"Joe has got us a couple of 40s, so it was good for him to get past 50 and chip in with three wickets."
Half-centuries to Scott Murn and Mark Bennett helped ANU chase down Queanbeyan's total of 7-235 at Freebody Oval, while Weston Creek Molonglo (5-160) defeated Ginninderra (158) with Blake Dean scoring 66.
