The Australian women's water polo team to play the FINA world league preliminary round in Tianjin, China, has been named.

West Australians Emma Knox, an Athens Olympics goalkeeper, and outside shooter Gemma Hadley have been declared fit to play for the May 20-25 Olympic lead-up tournament, having recovered from surgery.

The Aussie Stingers are fancied to win the round against Japan, New Zealand, Iran and China and advance to the super finals in Tenerife, Spain on June 10-15 after which the Olympic team will be named.
