Teenager Mijovic is still beaming with confidence after she was invited to her first Australian Opals camp last week.
Her Opals training sessions put her on the radar for a world championship berth and she will be a contender for an Olympic Games spot in 2016.
But before the 196-centimetre wirey 19-year-old chases her Opals debut, Mijovic is focused on ensuring the Capitals finish their disappointing WNBL campaign on a high.
''The Opals camp was awesome, I've been dreaming of that since I was a little girl and I finally got there,'' Mijovic said.
''I guess I'll try my best for the world championships and the next Olympics, those are definite goals for me. But every week I know I have to improve, especially in defence and so I'm still trying to get it all together in one.''
Former WNBL rookie of the year Mijovic will join Basketball Australia's new Centre of Excellence scholarship program this year.
The former AIS scholarship system - which Mijovic spent three years in - has been overhauled to allow mature-age recruits to be a part of the program.
Mijovic played for the Dandenong Rangers last season before linking with the Capitals, and is also juggling part-time work as a waitress and bartender at Outback Jacks in Belconnen.
The Capitals have won just seven games this season.
They play the Melbourne Boomers at the AIS Arena on Saturday and coach Carrie Graf has challenged the players to prove they deserve a contract for next season.
