The Canberra Capitals star was streaming down the Adelaide Arena court and bumped into the announcer's table before nudging into the trophy, perched up on a little stand during game two.
Jaws dropped as the prize wobbled and almost fell - luckily it didn't, otherwise she would have been lifting a trophy hastily glued together at the AIS Arena on Saturday night.
The Canadian import brought down the curtain on her first stint in the WNBL with a stunning performance in Canberra's win over the Adelaide Lightning during game three of the grand final series.
Now she will head home before the WNBA season starts in May, and what a way to sign off this was. But she admits bidding farewell to a group of teammates that will now go down in history together will make for a tough moment, such is the bond they share.
"Amazing. You never know when the last championship you’re going to win is going to be the last championship you will ever win," Nurse said.
"It’s been a while since college and winning one, so it is absolutely incredible. The fans are absolutely incredible, it was a truly special to win it with.
"It just really speaks to the character of the people we have on this team. When you come together and you have a group that is extremely talented, you don’t always get along too well.
"There’s egos that come into it, issues with who gets to score the most or who gets the ball the most. We never had that issue here. That was something extremely special."
