  • Early question - if the Spurs win, will Popovich crack a smile? Or give more than a 1 word answer in post match press conference?

    • I think if they win, someone needs to dump a Gatorade barrel over his head. Reciting NBA 2008 Finals win in Boston when Doc Rivers got drenched in Gatorade. That might break the ice?

    • Pawel - he'd probably have them sacked. At least Doc Rivers has smiled before. I think Pop's face would crack if he tried.

    • The spurs don't have Kevin Garnett who did that to Doc to do that to Pop.

  • Everyone is getting carried away with how well Paddy Mills and the Spurs are going. Miami are still the champions and theyre going to make everyone pay for writting them off

    • You need to start getting carried away with how well Patty Mills and the Spurs are going. Miami are no longer the champions and the Spurs made them pay for winning last year.

    • The only ones "paying" are the Heat owners who now have a highly expensive team that is clearly on the way down despite having the number one player in the game. Expect drastic roster changes at the Heat in the off season.

  • Love or hate LeBron, you can't help but love the Spurs. They're the team that builds it's offence around the team. Before this series I didn't even know who coached the Heat.

    • It rarely gets mentioned that there are TWO Australians on the Spurs team. In case no-one has notced, Aron Baynes is there too. Sure, he doesn't get as much court time as Patty, but he's there, he's a Spur, he helped them get to the playoffs, and he's ours!

        • If ever there was a team that did not deserve a 3-peat, it would be Miami and their so called 'Big 3'. Kudos to the Spurs for winning the right way.

          • +1. This Heat team is not a patch on the great Lakers, Celtics and Bulls teams that achieved "three-peats", although James will go down as one of the all time greats.

          • Question - is Baynes one of the only players to shoot 100% in a finals game/series? (yes, I realise its only a few points, but hey, its a record of sorts?!)

                • Mills just got a good game, stop elevating him lol.
Similar to Chile vs Aus (3-1 thrashing and the news reads - Aus take Chile to the wire... :))
                  and then,
Aus can beat Netherlands (FIFA).... really?

It's no longer April 1 mate!!

                  • If the winner (Spurs), for any reason, cannot fulfill their duties as NBA 2014 Champions, the 1st runner-up (Heat) takes over.
