Canberra product Patrick Mills ensured the first match in NBA history to feature three Australian starters was a memorable one with a star display in San Antonio's 102-100 win over Golden State.
Mills racked up 20 points, five rebounds and two assists in 34 minutes to help an injury-decimated Spurs - who were missing the ''big three'', Tony Parker, Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobli - to an upset road victory.
Centre Aron Baynes played nine minutes as a starter for San Antonio, while fellow Boomer Andrew Bogut finished with eight points and 18 rebounds for Golden State.
Mills is averaging eight points and 17 minutes for San Antonio in his breakout NBA campaign.
He has started the past two matches as deputy for Parker, who is nursing a shin injury.
