A 96-second demolition was captured perfectly as Horn towered over Anthony Mundine in what Glenn Rushton described as the former school teacher's Ali-Liston moment.

Winning big fights is like an addiction, one Horn is desperate to feed as he prepares to sit down with promoter Dean Lonergan, Rushton and matchmaker Stu Duncan to line up a return to the ring in April or May.

Lonergan has a vision for Horn to fight on the Gold Coast in a temporary stadium seating up to 6000 people with thousands more watching on big screens along the coastline.

"Now we’ve got to look at bigger and better things. For my money, I’d like to see Jeff at a larger weight," Lonergan said.

"Glenn talked about a guy called Canelo Alvarez who is the highest paid boxer in the world right now. Probably in the short-term, for the next fight, probably not.

"If Jeff was to go on and win a world title at a higher weight, then why not? At the end of the day Jeff is well-known in America thanks to the Manny Pacquiao fight. Love him or hate him, the Americans know who he is.

"One of the challenges we’ve got with Jeff is trying to bring someone who is a known name. When you’ve got Manny Pacquiao down, you’ve got 51,000 at Suncorp. When you bring Gary Corcoran, we’ve got 8000 at the Convention Centre. Finding names in boxing is the hard one to generate the cash.

"If I can secure a world title fight for Jeff at any one of the three weights, I’m going to do it, or at least try my best to get it done."

Questions have been raised about the feasibility of returning to the welterweight division considering how devastating Horn was at a heavier weight against Mundine.

Horn's trainer Glenn Rushton believes the 30-year-old would run through Amir Khan with Kell Brook looming as a good test at light middleweight - a division which doesn't boast the star power of the welterweight class.

Rushton has a new superstar on the radar in Alvarez and he is refusing to give up hope of a rematch with Terence Crawford, which no longer seems as ludicrous as first thought.

Crawford isn't a major draw in the United States so dollar signs could be enough to bring him down under, but that wouldn't be for some time - 'Bud' has his sights set on unifying the division.

If Horn's left hook wasn't enough to capture the attention of the boxing world, perhaps Rushton has found something that will.

"I wanted to see the mongrel, I wanted to see the ferocity like we had in the Pacquiao fight," Rushton said.

"He was like a pitbull, he was relentless. That's what I wanted in this fight, to see the hunger was still there and he hadn't gone soft. I think we saw that ferocity. We saw a very hungry Jeff Horn.

"The whole world will look at that and say 'Jeff Horn is back'."

The man himself still has a point to prove after dropping his world championship, and Horn is determined to bring more big names to his homeland in a bid to stun the world.

"I feel a lot better now than I did after Vegas, there were scars that I’ve still got on my heart from that loss but I guess a big win here was definitely a remedy for that," Horn said.

"[Crawford] is a big fight. If we can draw him over here, or another big name, not necessarily Crawford, we’ll take any of the big names out there.

"That is the main goal, to draw those American fighters and big-name fighters to Australia to see what the outback is like.

"I’d love to fight on the Gold Coast as well, all over Australia. Why not?"
