Sitting on top of the ladder, and with second-placed Sydney and third-placed Brisbane facing each other, the Cavalry fancy their chances to stay ahead of the pack, take out the minor premiership and go straight to the grand final series.
''We've put ourselves in a situation at this point of the season where we don't have to worry about other teams and other results,'' coach Michael Collins said.
''If we go out and take care of our business, things will work out just the way we want. So we're not too worried about the other teams; we just have to take care of ourself.
''There's a few different scenarios out there, but we're shooting for that top spot, and we know Brisbane are two games behind us and Sydney's equal with us, so we have to win as many as Sydney and lose one less than Brisbane in order to get that top spot.''
The Cavalry finished their home series against Adelaide with a 3-1 record, but with the Bite still in playoff contention, Collins knows they are in for a fight.
''They're four games behind us, so if they were to win all four against us, theoretically they would go ahead of us, so I'm sure they know that situation as well and they'll be coming for us.''
