Most of the players who competed in the World Cup semi-final in Derby, which India won by 36 runs, will be in action this week in the first of three one-dayers against the subcontinent nation in Vadodara.
The match also marks captain Meg Lanning's return to international cricket, about seven months after undergoing a right-shoulder reconstruction.
Lanning was dismissed for a rare duck in the semi-final, as Australia failed to chase down India's 4-281, set up largely by Harmanpreet Kaur's unbeaten 171.
She tuned up for her international return in two practice matches last week against India A, dismissed for just one in the first game before retiring unbeaten on 63 in Thursday's comfortable tour win.
The ODI series against India preceds a T20 tri-series against the host nation and England.
