Candice and David Warner announce birth of baby daughter Indi Rae

David Warner and his wife, ironwoman Candice Warner, took to Instagram to announce the arrival of their second daughter on Thursday morning.

The Australia cricket player posted, "@candywarner1 and I welcomed beautiful little Indi Rae Warner into the world this morning. Mum was absolutely amazing. #prouddaddy."

Indi Rae is the couple's second child and 16-month-old daughter Ivy Mae was in tow to greet her little sister.

The 29-year-old will take time off his busy summer schedule to spend time with his family and is slated to return in time for the fourth match of the five-game one day international series against India on January 20 at Manuka Oval, Canberra.

Warner has played all six Test matches against New Zealand and the West Indies and featured in Tuesday's first ODI against India.

With Warner unavailable for Friday's ODI against India at the Gabba in Brisbane, Usman Khawaja has returned to the Australia side three years after his last international game in the format.

The in-form batsman leaves behind a frustrated Sydney Thunder side facing a must-win local derby at the SCG on Saturday night.

"It's never nice because I wanted to play that last game, too," Khawaja said.

"It's a very important game. But it's just what we do now. Big Bash is on at the same time as the international stuff and at the end of the day it's about representing your country and doing what you can to help your country win cricket games. So I can't complain."

Australia won the opening ODI by five wickets over India in Perth on Tuesday.
