Scorchers tickets sell out in 12 minutes
The Perth Scorchers celebrate their dramatic win over the Melbourne Stars on Wednesday night.
The Perth Scorchers' home grand final against the Brisbane Heat on Saturday has sold in just 12 minutes - less time than it took to play out the dramatic final two overs of Wednesday's win over the Melbourne Stars.
A record crowd of almost 18,000 packed the WACA for the Stars match, which swung on a Shaun Marsh haul of 27 runs from an over and a disastrous last-delivery no-ball from Melbourne's James Faulkner.
That crowd figure will seemingly be matched on Saturday, when the Heat and former WA star Luke Pomersbach return for what promises to be an explosive grand final.
Tickets went on sale to the general public for the Heat clash at 1pm and were sold out before 1.15pm.
By 2.25pm on Wednesday afternoon, the Gumtree classified website already had 16 posts from fans chasing tickets, some willing to pay as much as $100 per seat.
There were no posts selling tickets.
