Her twin sister Ashleigh has also been recalled after a five-year absence.
The Sykes siblings and United teammates Michelle Heyman and Lydia Williams are in the Matildas squad for the matches at WIN Stadium on November 24 and Pirtek Stadium on November 27.
Sykes, 21, celebrated her 50th W-League appearance and first as United captain in last week’s season-opening 3-0 win against Brisbane Roar.
The defender has been one of United’s most consistent players over the past two seasons.
Lively forward Ashleigh Sykes has fought her way back into the national set-up after she played four games for the Matildas in 2008.
The quartet will line-up for United in Sunday’s match with the Western Sydney Wanderers at McKellar Park.
