Poulter praises Kingston Heath
INTERNATIONAL drawcard for this week's Australian Masters, Ian Poulter, has delivered a glowing endorsement of the Kingston Heath course he will attempt to conquer in a bid to wear the gold jacket again.
The 2011 Masters champion and the star of this year's Ryder Cup was generous with his comments about the course on Tuesday, but having walked the fairways for the first time on Wednesday, updated his appraisal significantly via his twitter account.
"Kingston Heath is totally awesome. Someone please tell modern day architects we don't need 8000 yard tracks they're not enjoyable. Best yet," he tweeted.
"Par 3 15th is in the top par 3's in the world it's only 152 yards 9 iron today. None of this 245 yard crap we see so often. Pure brilliance," he later added.
