The sad death of Wests Tigers star Robbie Farah’s mother makes the Women In League round all the more prevalent.
And Canberra Raiders forwards Bronson Harrison and David Shillington will do their bit for cancer research when they don pink boots against North Queensland in Townsville on Saturday.
The pair will auction off their ASICS boots on www.allbids.com.au after the match to raise money for the club’s No.1 charity The Cancer Support Group.
‘‘Women in League is a wonderful initiative and the rest of the club and I are proud to be involved in it,’’ Harrison said.
‘‘It’s good to give back to the women involved in rugby league.
‘‘They’re our support at home and we wouldn’t be where we are today without the help of our mothers, partners and volunteers.’’
