Eighteen-year-old Hill leads the Australian Formula Ford Championship by 32 points after notching six consecutive race victories over the past two competition rounds.

Mark Webber, Daniel Ricciardo, Craig Lowndes and Jamie Whincup are just some of the alumni of the division.

Having followed his father to race tracks from the age of one, Hill certainly regards motorsport as where his future lies.

"The ultimate goal would have to be Indy Car in the United States," Hill said. "But I'm also very interested in making it to V8 Supercars, that would probably be more achievable."

"I'd like to see myself, if I follow the V8 Supercars path, to be getting closer to a drive in that series in two or three years."

Despite the success of Webber and Ricciardo in transitioning to Formula One, Hill said financial difficulties made it a challenging avenue to pursue.

But he admits: "If an opportunity came knocking to go to Europe I'd definitely jump at it."

There are some similarities between Hill and Webber's beginnings in motorsport, something they discussed at Webber's book signing in Canberra last week.

"He just said he'd heard about me and loved what we were doing with the whole privateer aspect and also being based out of Queanbeyan. It was real cool of him to have that chat with me.

"I respect him as a driver a lot."

Hill is determined to focus on his current racing in Formula Ford and hope it brings future opportunities.

"You just try to take it one race at a time, one week at a time.

"If we can finish this year strongly it could open doors and gives us a good base to go from."

If he can maintain his current form Hill believes a spot in the V8 Supercars second tier Dunlop Series or the Porsche Carrera Cup are on the horizon in 2016.

Beyond that, perhaps navigating the twists and turns of Mount Panorama or Albert Park.
