Kyle Noke — your wish has been granted.

The Queensland welterweight will get the chance to fight in front of his home crowd on December 15 when he takes on Seth Baczynski at UFC on FX: Sotiropoulos vs Pearson at the Gold Coast Convention Centre.

Noke (20 wins, 6 losses, 1 draw) made a successful transition from middleweight to welterweight when he knocked out Charlie Brenneman at UFC 152 in Toronto, Canada last month.

However, he'll face a tough test in Baczynski (17-6), who comes into this bout on a six-fight win streak — the latest a first round knock-out victory over Simeon Thoresen, also at UFC 152.

It's the latest addition to what's shaping as a terrific card of fights, headlined by the battle of the coaches (Australia's George Sotiropoulos and the UK's Ross Pearson) from the current series of The Ultimate Fighter: The Smashes.

Adopted Australian Hector Lombard also fights dangerous Brazilian Rousimar Palhares at middleweight, with other fights including Australian light heavyweight Anthony Perosh against the USA's Joey Beltran, a featherweight bout between highly rated Chad Mendes (USA) and Hacran Dias (Brazil), and The Ultimate Fighter 8 alumni Krzystztof "The Polish Experiment" Soszynski against Brazil's Ednaldo Oliveira.

Noke said fighting on the Gold Coast in front of his home crowd was a dream come true.

"When I found out that the UFC was holding an event in Queensland, where I started my MMA career, I wanted to fight at this event more than anything," he said.

"I asked the UFC to include me on this card and am grateful for the chance to fight in my home state.  I cannot wait to get into the Octagon against Seth and do my family, friends and country proud."

Noke won three from five fights in the UFC as a middleweight, following his appearance in season 11 of The Ultimate Fighter — however, he now feels right at home fighting at welterweight.

"I feel great dropping to welterweight," he said.

"I started my career in this weight division before moving up to middleweight in TUF but I feel like this is where I should be and I'm in the best condition of my career."

Tickets for the event go on sale on Friday, October 19.
