Josh Dugan's latest driving drama was magnified as the result of an unpaid parking fine.
Dugan is facing charges of speeding and driving with a suspended licence after being pulled over by ACT Police in Evatt at approximately 7pm on August 15, 2011.
Police will allege Dugan was driving his red Commodore at a speed of approximately 100km/h in a 60km/h zone.
Police checks at the scene discovered Dugan's licence had been suspended because of an unpaid parking fine, although the 21-year-old is expected to plead that he was unaware of the fine and suspension of his licence.
Dugan will not be required to attend when the allegations are subject of a case management hearing in the ACT Magistrates Court on February 16.
It's understood Dugan has since paid the parking fine and his licence has been reinstated.
The NSW State of Origin representative will play for the Raiders against the Melbourne Storm tomorrow night and is close to finalising his contract negotiations for 2013 and beyond.
