The Socceroos will base themselves in Singapore before arriving in Dhaka on Monday ahead of Tuesday night's World Cup qualifier.

Football Federation Australia announced on Friday morning the game would go ahead after players held a meeting on Thursday night after their 3-0 victory against Kyrgyzstan at Canberra Stadium.

The FFA attempted to have the match moved because of the security concerns that forced Cricket Australia to cancel September's tour of Bangladesh, but that was rejected by FIFA.

An FFA security delegation has been undertaking extensive meetings with DFAT, FIFA, AFC, the Bangladesh Government and Bangladesh security services in Dhaka for the past week to ascertain the security plans in place.

"It hasn't been too much of a stress point," Postecoglou said.

"We made a decision we were going to concentrate on last night's game and let the people who are in charge of those kind of things do all the work in the background.

"Obviously I've been kept up to date in the meantime and I'm comfortable with the point we've reached."

Midfielder Mark Milligan echoed those sentiments.

"We've always had good people in place and we had every confidence they would do the best for us and make sure everything was in place for us to go over," Milligan said.

"Staying in Singapore gives us more time for recovery, which is very important.

"It was a demanding game last night and the boys worked very hard."

Postecoglou said striker Tomi Juric was in serious doubt to make the trip to Bangladesh after leaving the field on Thursday night with a groin injury.

"Tomi is a concern," Postecoglou said.

"I'll double check with everyone this morning to see if there any other niggles.

"There's the option of bringing in a couple of A-League players we have on standby, I'll make those decisions later today."

The news is better for Juric's replacement, Nathan Burns, who is expected to be right after coming off in the second half.

Midfielder Tom Rogic could play a larger role in the Bangladesh game after he was given a half-hour cameo off the bench.

Rogic only arrived in Australia late on Tuesday night after scoring a sensational goal for Scottish club Celtic on the weekend.

The 22-year-old has burst back to form having shaken off his injury struggles of the past 18 months.

"He was probably busting a gut to play, but he was the last one to arrive," Postecoglou said.

"From our perspective, it was a bit precautionary to make sure we don't overload him.

"He's only just getting back into fitness and form with his club, so we're mindful of that."

Goalkeeper Mat Ryan (knee) and defender Jason Davidson (calf) will travel with the squad, but again could be rested after their replacements had solid performances.

James Meredith was impressive in his international debut, while AFC Bournemouth custodian Adam Federici wasn't tested much during the 90 minutes.

It was also a quality outing from Preston North End centre back Bailey Wright in his seventh appearance for the national side, but first alongside Trent Sainsbury in the heart of defence.

"Last time I played with Trent was under-17s, so we've played with each other before and obviously (against) Saudi Arabia as well," Wright said.

"Every time you come in, whoever you play alongside, you want to form a partnership and do the best you can and make sure you give it everything you've got and try and make that shirt yours for the next game."
