Goal on debut as Rogic stars for Celtic under-20s

It hasn't taken Canberra sensation Tom Rogic long to make an impression on his new Celtic teammates, with the 20-year-old scoring on debut for the Scottish Premier League club's under-20 side on Tuesday morning.

He also played a part in Celtic's second goal in a 3-1 away victory over Hamilton.

Rogic took just nine minutes to get on the scoresheet when he calmly side-footed the ball home from 11 metres after a defensive mistake by the home side.

Playing in his familiar No.10 role, just behind the main striker, he showed exactly what makes him so dangerous as an attacking threat.

He almost scored a second minutes later after beating several players and exchanging passes with teammate Anthony Stokes to be through on goal.

His first shot was blocked and he sent his second into the side netting.

Rogic then helped put Celtic back in front after Hamilton had squared the ledger early in the second half.

A cross found Rogic in the penalty box and, while his shot was saved by the Hamilton goalkeeper, Stokes put the rebound away to restore the one-goal advantage.

The new Bhoy again found himself with a chance in the closing stages of the game and his shot beat the keeper only to roll harmlessly past the far post. Rogic was substituted in the 80th minute.
