Hot conditions have forced Football Federation Australia (FFA) to move the kickoff for Sunday's Melbourne Heart v Perth Glory A-League match in Albury back two hours to 5pm.

The FFA said it made the decision on Sunday morning after monitoring the Wet Bulb Globe Temperature (WBGT) under it heat policy.

The WBGT takes into account air temperature, humidity, wind, and radiation to provide an accurate indicator of the risk of heat related injuries.

Further monitoring will take place throughout the day to decide what appropriate measures should be put in place to ensure player welfare.

FOX Sports has confirmed they will still broadcast the match live at 5pm on Fox Sports 3, which will be run in conjunction with the Newcastle Jets v Wellington Phoenix match, which also kicks off at 5pm and will be broadcast on FOX Sports 1.
