The shortest man on the field, 165-centimetre Brazilian Henrique, stood tall as a depleted Brisbane Roar again reduced Melbourne Heart to A-League roadkill in their 3-0 Suncorp Stadium win on Sunday.
The pint-sized Henrique's stunning brace - backed by captain Matt Smith's 77th minute volley - ensured an injury-hit Roar moved back to the top of the ladder with its third win in four games.
But it was more pain for the visitors, who extended their horror winless run away from home to 16 games.
Brisbane was on the back foot from the outset with an injury list that included Shane Stefanutto (hamstring), star striker Besart Berisha (hamstring), Irish import Liam Miller (calf), George Lambadaridis (knee) and Kofi Danning (knee).
Brisbane's German playmaker Thomas Broich also threw a scare into the Roar camp when he appeared to injure his Achilles in the warm-up but took his place.
However, not much could prepare Brisbane for the first half onslaught unleashed by the Heart.
The visitors did not look like a side that had not savoured an away victory since New Year's Eve 2011 as they came out swinging against a shell-shocked Roar.
Someone had to stand up for Brisbane - and the diminutive Henrique became the unlikely hero.
Whatever Roar coach Mike Mulvey said at half-time worked as a re-energised Brisbane emerged in the second half and finally opened the scoring through Henrique's 48th minute strike.
Henrique had a double by the 65th minute, pouncing when Heart keeper Andrew Redmayne deflected Dimitri Petratos' full-blooded effort. Smith brought the 15,011 spectators to full voice when he latched onto a clever Matt McKay cross in the 77th minute.
The Heart sorely missed Harry Kewell as it squandered chance after chance, most notably Iain Ramsay's sixth-minute attempt from a pinpoint Andrea Migliorini cross.
It was an unhappy homecoming for foundation Roar player Massimo Murdocca, who played his first Suncorp Stadium game since switching to the Heart after eight seasons at Brisbane.
