Rogic continued his impressive return from a lengthy spell on the sidelines with injury, scoring a brilliant goal during a 60-minute performance for Celtic's development squad on Tuesday.

It was the 22-year-old Canberra product's second game in the space of four days - a significant amount of progress given he's missed most of the past 12 months with a persistent groin injury.

Celtic officials also believe Rogic could push for a recall to the club's first team in the final month of the season.

Regarded as one of Australia's brightest football talents, Rogic's rehabilitation has been carefully mapped out, with his long-term future being the upmost priority.

Moore believes the way Rogic has responded after the disappointment of missing last year's World Cup shows his desire to reach the top.

"Tommy's a fantastic character and he's mentally very strong," Moore said. "It's very frustrating and at times extremely tough for players to go through long stretches on the sideline due to injury.

"There's no reason why Tommy can't achieve all that he wants to in the game."

Rogic showed a touch of class in his side's 3-2 victory against Kilmarnock, evading a couple of challenges and finding the net from 20 metres.

A fit and injury-free Rogic will be a positive for the Socceroos looking ahead to the qualifying campaign for the 2018 World Cup.

After rising to prominence as one of eight worldwide winners of the Nike's The Chance competition in 2012, Rogic burst onto the scene with the Central Coast Mariners in the A-League.

He made his Socceroos debut later that year and signed a four-year deal with Celtic in January, 2013, but has been restricted to just 11 games in the Scottish Premier League.

"He's a fantastic talent, he's got that X-factor about him, that ability to go by people and create things," Moore said.

"The end of the season will come too quick for him unfortunately, but hopefully he'll have a really good pre-season.

"That will give Tommy the benefits of kicking on and making an impact."

Celtic development squad coach Stevie Frail said Rogic was a chance of forcing his way into the club's top side in the final four games of the campaign.

"He will need a few more games and then hopefully he can feature in the first team before the end of the season," Frail told Celtic TV. "He's enjoying playing for the team as he hasn't played for so long.

"He's maybe not the quickest player over the ground, but upstairs he knows how to see the game and he reads it very well.

"He's a great addition to the side."
