The 21-year-old Canberra product also says he is getting used to being closely marked during his second stint in the A-League as opponents try to find ways to limit the influence of one of the most exciting prospects in the country.

Rogic will line up for the Victory in Saturday night's vital A-League encounter with Adelaide United, both sides level in third place before the start of this weekend's round.

It is almost a month since the talented midfielder secured a loan from Scottish club Celtic to gain valuable playing time before hopefully taking on a major role for Australia at the World Cup in June.

Rogic played his first full game for the Victory in last weekend's important 2-1 ACL qualifying win against Thailand outfit Muangthong in Geelong.

That booked the Victory a place in the group stages, guaranteeing another six high-quality fixtures along with the remainder of the A-League campaign.

Rogic expects to go back to Europe after the World Cup finishes and resume duties with Celtic.

''All young players strive to play at the best level and in Europe is where the highest quality of football is,'' Rogic said.

''I have plans to go back there, I've got a contract with Celtic and I'm happy to be a Celtic player.

''They definitely want me back there at the start of next season, and hopefully between now and then we have the World Cup.''

Rogic has made only fleeting appearances since joining Celtic in January last year and was hampered by a niggling groin injury.

He has been fully fit since Christmas and has slowly improved since making his debut with the Victory in a 5-0 thumping at the hands of Sydney FC on Australia Day.

''It was a good learning experience,'' Rogic said of his time at Celtic.

''Of course I would have liked to have played more, like every player, but at the same time I had to be a bit realistic and know the level I was going to it might take some time to settle in.

''I'm still developing, I'm still learning and I'm a much better player than I was a year ago.''

Rogic stands to play a vital role for the Socceroos given the amount of injuries that have hit key players of the squad in recent months.

Attacking weapon Robbie Kruse (knee reconstruction) and defender Rhys Williams (Achilles) are both likely to be spectators in a blow to Australia's bid to navigating through what's been dubbed ''the group of death''.

The Socceroos must get past world champions Spain, the Netherlands and Chile if they are to emulate the performance of the 2006 team and progress to the round of 16.

''The draw's extremely tough, but I think it's exciting,'' Rogic said.

''Everyone around the world has written us off already, which for us means we can go there and play with no pressure.

''It's hard for players not to get excited and have one eye on that as well.''

The Victory opens its ACL campaign on Wednesday against reigning champions Guangzhou Evergrande, coached by Italian Marcello Lippi.

''Some of the players and money they have is pretty amazing,'' Rogic said.

''It's the best competition in Asia and it's good to be playing regular football.

''I've noticed in the A-League I get a bit more attention in games, which I expected, but you just have to deal with it.''
