Canberra United defender Ellie Brush will be raising the issues of improving the standard of refereeing in the W-League and the importance of a full home-and-away season at Sunday's Players Football Association meeting in Melbourne.

The meeting coincides with the W-League grand final between Melbourne City and Sydney FC at AAMI Park.
Canberra United can consider themselves very stiff not to be involved after an incorrect refereeing decision led to their 1-0 semi-final loss to the Sky Blues last weekend.
Three full-time referees were appointed for the A-League this season, but that hasn't flowed across to the W-League yet.
Brush said it was essential referees were provided with more resources as the quality of the competition increases.
"The game itself has become a lot more professional on the field over the last eight seasons of the W-League and you hope similar sort of resources will be put into the refereeing," Brush said.
The length of the W-League season will come under consideration. Currently, the nine teams play only 12 games each, leading to some teams being disadvantaged by playing stronger teams twice while their rivals have easier draws.
"If anything's going to change, that's the one thing I really care about," Brush said. "Just in terms of having a complete and fair season, it's really luck of the draw who you play those two games and who you play once.
"It really can have a massive impact of where you end up in the table and it will make the league step up to the next level in terms of being professional."
Canberra's players have gone their separate ways since last weekend's finals exit.
Matildas trio Lydia Williams, Michelle Heyman and Caitlin Munoz have been in camp with the national team, while Mexican international Veronica Perez and New Zealand striker Emma Kete have returned to their respective homes.
The majority of players will catch up at the club's presentation night on Monday.
"That will be a great thing so we can get back together and celebrate a really great season overall," Brush said. "It's tough knowing you're not going to be in the grand final."
