  • Let's face it, Wade can't keep, Haddin is nearing his expiry date. Bring Pete Neville into the picture now so that we have a genuine opportunity to field a team with a quality keeper for the ashes.

Not an option but to make a point,if Phil Hughes turned his attention to keeping he would be a far more reliable option that Wade behind the stumps...

    • Who is the Easts Rooster's accountant? They way they've spent big on player recruitment while (I hope) remaining under the salary cap is so impressive, I wonder if he/she is available to help with the 2013 tax return.

      • Roosters rarely miss thier man - the smartest player recruitment manager in the game is Peter O'Sullivan, backed by the best CEO in the game.

      • 2013 is the year I don't bother get a membership. I hate the fact they are blowing wads of cash on a known turncoat ($BW), and wasting money on Jennings after letting Sam Perrett go to the Dogs last season. Only good thing done is getting in Trent Robinson. He will stiffen up our defence.
        Bring on 2014.

      • 2014 may be big as well - but i think you may be proved wrong re SBW, sure he is after the $ and a player like him deserves it (although i think he needs to find another manager)
Every position we have depth and talent.

      • Wasn't Peter O'Sullivan at the Storm between 2006-2009? Must have passed on a few tricks he learnt while he was there......

    • Healy seems like a nice bloke to me, and I enjoy his wit. The jury is still out on Wade. Maybe he will be an international class keeper one day but he ain't there yet. The primary function of a keeper is to catch the bloody ball, not score runs. In the meantime there is this guy called Brad Haddin...

      • I don't think Ian Healy has ever gotten over the fact that he never got his ego boosting final home series farewell before retirement. In came Adam Gilchrist, took the wicketkeeper/batsman role to a new level, and Healy has been trying to remind everyone how good he (Healy) was ever since.

Do you not remember dropping a few crucial ones Ian. Move on please, we remember that you played for Australia so stop looking for media opportunities to keep yourself relevant.

Another reason I turn the sound down on the television when the cricket is on

        • 3 things remind me to turn Ch. 9 commentary down & listen to the radio.
          1. KFC ads with Slats & those twins with the neck tatts.
          2. Richie "promoting" a new season of "CSI"
          3. Heals.

      • People need to stop listening to Ian Healy. He was an adequate wicketkeeper, who was completely outclassed with the gloves, bat and commentating by Adam Gilchrist.

His commentary on the game is frequently irrelevant and his predictions on what is happening at any stage of a match is more often than not incorrect.
