Canberra tennis mentor Todd Larkham and Australia's Davis Cup coach Josh Eagle will form a tag-team coaching partnership to ensure star Nick Kyrgios continues his boom rise up the world rankings.

Larkham and Eagle will share the Kyrgios coaching duties for at least the next three months while the 19-year-old makes a decision on where he will base himself in the future.
Larkham will be in charge of coaching Kyrgios while he is in Australia and the pair will spend the next two weeks together in Melbourne preparing for Kyrgios' return to the international circuit.
Eagle will take over when Kyrgios is overseas - including the Rogers Cup in Toronto and the US Open - with the duo teaming up to help capitalise on the former Daramalan College student's stunning Wimbledon campaign.
Kyrgios is set to base himself in Canberra when he's in Australia, but until details can be finalised with Tennis Australia, he will train in Melbourne before leaving for Toronto.
"We're not sure how long the set up will stay, but I'll be coaching Nick in Australia and Josh Eagle will coach him on the road," Larkham said.
"We'll probably reassess after the Davis Cup tie [against Uzbekistan in September] to work out what we're going to do.
"I love working with Nick. He's a great kid and I coached him for seven years. It's great to be working with him again."
Kyrgios announced himself as a future star when he beat world No. 1 Rafael Nadal at Wimbledon last week before being knocked out in the quarter finals.
The teenager wants to be closer to his family in Canberra when he is not on the international circuit, which was the main reason for his decision to make a switch with Melbourne-based coach Simon Rea.
While Larkham coached Kyrgios for seven years, the pair haven't worked together for the past two years.
Kyrgios will train in Melbourne to build up his strength and fitness with Larkham declaring Kyrgios Australia's No. 1 sport priority.
Just 18 months ago Kyrgios was ranked outside the top 800 players in the world, but his superb Wimbledon performances lifted him to No. 66. He has spent the past week in Canberra recuperating and working at the AIS, and Larkham said the coaching team would tinker with his game to help him become one of the best players in the world.
"I was at Wimbledon and watched all of his matches ... I've looked through the statistics and probably the percentage of points won at the net could improve," Larkham said.
"Maybe the first serve return as well ... they're pretty small things. He's got a great game, we're looking for the little things that could make the difference under pressure situations in a big match."
Kyrgios will almost certainly lead Australia's Davis Cup campaign against Uzbekistan in Perth from September 12.
"Nick is playing top-20 tennis at a young age, it's minor things. Nick's probably our No. 1 priority athlete in Australia now. I'm happy to be working with him and looking forward to getting back on the court."
