The Velocity men's and women's teams got rid of early tournament nerves to blitz the visitors and win all 12 singles and doubles matches in the second round of the Asia-Pacific Tennis League.
It was a superb display in front of more than 200 people at the Velocity's first home appearance of the new competition.
But with matches against the Hunter Raworth Tigers and NSTA Avengers on Sunday, Larkham said Canberra's top tennis players could not afford to rest on their dominant performance.
The National Academy team has no players over 18 years old.
''We expected the results to be a lot closer, but we were more than happy to win comfortably,'' Larkham said.
''The guys and girls are getting used to the format, they know they're under pressure straight away and there were a few early nerves, but we're happy we got away with wins in everything. All the close matches went our way … we've got this one out of the way in front of a good crowd and we're pretty confident this is just going to help us for the rest of the league.''
The Velocity played its first ATL matches in Sydney on Tuesday night with the women walking away winners but the men's team struggling for wins.
The new comp is made up of four singles matches and two doubles contests with each set decided by the first to win four games. The women's team of Alison Bai, Ashley Keir, Nicole Hoynaski and Tyra Calderwood continued their impressive start to the league, dropping just one set in their singles contests.
World No.5 junior Nick Kyrgios is the leader of the men's team and dominated his singles opponent, Nick Horton, to win 4-2 4-2.
The 17-year-old was backed up by his teammates James Frawley, Alex Bolt and Andrew Zedde.
Bolt - a 19-year-old with an ITP ranking of 530 - said the men's and women's teams were determined to continue their winning streak in the third round.
