Wimbledon live 2014: Milos Raonic v Nick Kyrgios

Raonic's serve was just too strong in the end winning 6-7 6-2 6-4 7-6. He was like a metronome and only lost a couple of points on it in the fourth set. Well I reckon I'm done here, the bed is calling. Hope you've enjoyed the ride...

Massive up side for Nick. Next challenge is to do it week-in, week-out on the tour. But he's definitely given hope to Australia. I wonder if his mum Nill stayed up to watch? She was talking about catching up on some sleep after an incredibly long night and day after his win against Rafa.

Nothing tentative about that tho! Fittingly Raonic wins it with an ace down the middle to end Nick's run at Wimbledon in the quarter-finals. Not a bad effort for the 19-year-old wild card from Down Under! Gets a $400,000 pay day. Wonder if Fairfax will give me a similar pay cheque for lasting til the quarters as well? #daretodream

Tentative first serve from Raonic! Kyrgios wins the point to stay alive. 6-4...

Nick holds his two service points and forces Raonic to serve it out. 6-3 the Cannuck leads in the TB...

Raonic gets the first mini break of the tiebreak. 4-1 up...make that 5-1 up as they change ends. That Raonic serve still quietly booming away...

We go to the tiebreak. In a positive sign for Nickl, he was able to win a coupla points off Raonic's serve that game. Can he level it...

Do iPads travel faster than the speed of light? The Wimbledon Slamtracker is slightly ahead of the TV... #iblamephysics

Hooray! Raonic finally loses a point on serve. It took an unforced error to do it...

Coupla nice backhands gives Kyrgios one last chance to break Raonic this set. Nick leads 6-5 in the fourth. Otherwise, he'll get the chance to re-inforce his reputation as the Tiebreak Kid...

At least smile when you win yet another service game to love Raonic! Yet to lose a point on serve this set. It's 5-all. Seems Kyrgios's "tattoo" is still catching people out...

Raonic threatens, but Kyrgios manages to hold serve and take a 5-4 lead in the fourth. Can he spring a suprise break out of the blue? If any of Canberra is still awake, they'll certainly hope so. Special shout out to FIFA boss Sepp Blatter for organising the World Cup schedule so everyone in Brazil could tune in to watch Nick play... #thechequesinthemail

That's another service game to love for Raonic!

Is Raonic a probot? His serving at the moment would suggest so...

My old man, who played tennis until he was almost 70, told me the seventh game in a set was always an important one - hopefully he's right as Kyrgios holds serve to lead 4-3 in the fourth...

Raonic's serve just can't be stopped at the moment! He's sent down 31 aces so far this match with just two double faults. Although he's only serving at 68% of those first rockets in, but he's yet to lose a point on service this set!

Is this umpire English? Given the recent woes of England's cricket team, perhaps he could get a gig...

Come on! Kyrgios holds and leads 3-2 in the 4th. Reckon it's time for Nick to bring out the hammer to drop again. "A ship in the harbour is safe, but that's not what a ship is built for!" Philosophy always helps...

Do modern players sweat more? Why do they all need towels to wipe themselves down with after every shot? These are the questions that keep me awake at night. Either that or too much cola (still looking for Super Couch sponsorship). Cracking backhand by Raonic down the line. He's looking strong...

Raonic's serve is doing to Kyrgios, what Kyrgios's was doing to Nadal last night! Massive. all square at 2-all in the fourth...
