Texans defeat Bengals
Shayne Graham kicked four field goals to lead the third-seeded Houston Texans to a 19-13 victory over the No. 6-seeded Cincinnati Bengals in the first round of the American Football Conference playoffs.
Houston advances to play second-seeded New England Patriots on Jan. 13 in the National Football League's AFC Divisional Round at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts.
Graham kicked field goals of 48, 27 and 22 yards in the first half today to give the Texans a 9-7 advantage.
Arian Foster scored on a one-yard run and Graham added a 24-yard field goal in the fourth.
Houston quarterback Matt Schaub completed 29 of 38 passing attempts for 261 yards and one interception at Reliant Stadium in Houston.
Leon Hall returned a 21-yard interception for a touchdown in the second quarter, while Josh Brown kicked two field goals of 34 and 47 yards in the second half for the Bengals.
Andy Dalton passed for 147 yards and one interception.
The fourth-seeded Baltimore Ravens meet the No. 5 seed Indianapolis Colts in the second AFC first-round game. In the NFC, it's fifth-seeded Seattle against No. 4 seed Washington.
