TUGGERANONG United is officially looking towards the Federation Cup final after suffering a 3-0 Premier League loss to Canberra FC on Saturday.
The men in green found it hard to get themselves up for the match at Kambah, just two days after qualifying for their first Federation Cup final since 2000 with an extra-time semi-final win over Woden.
But coach Martin Lategui said it is was more important for his team to focus on the final rather than worry about their second last standing in the Premier League.
"I think we've turned a couple of heads just getting there. If we can win, hopefully we can get more spotlight, and get a few players interested in coming to the club," Lategui said.
Tuggeranong held the Premier League leaders to a 1-0 lead at half-time.
Canberra FC striker Domenic Giampaolo extended the lead to 2-0 shortly after the break, before Ryan Keir found the back of the net one minute later.
