COACH Nicole Bowles described Tuggeranong's 56-43 victory over Belconnen in round seven of the Canterbury State League as their best of the season.
Tuggeranong led at every break yesterday for a fourth win that consolidated second on the ladder.
''I was really pleased with that effort … the first time this season where we've put four good quarters together,'' Bowles said.
Tuggeranong led 18-12 at the first break before extending the lead to 31-21 at half-time. The gap closed to six but Tuggeranong took a 41-33 lead into the final term.
With goal shooter Jo Pivac converting well and Marley Simmons solid in defence Tuggeranong finished strongly.
Coach Melinda Clarke described Belconnen's performance as ''flat'' after a good first quarter.
In the other match yesterday, league-leaders Canberra maintained its perfect start to the season with a 62-40 win over an improved South Canberra.
