In the space of a week the Tuggeranong Vikings have dropped from top to fourth on the ACT Baseball first grade ladder, but they get their chance to start climbing back against the second-placed Kambah Eagles at Vikings Park on Sunday.

But the Eagles are the highest-scoring team in the competition for a reason, and have a huge talent pool to call on, such as the three Warner brothers and the returning Johnny Allender.

While the Vikings have slipped back, the Ainslie-Gungahlin Bears have surged to the top of the table on the back of a three-game winning streak.

The fifth-placed Belconnen Bandits have the tough task of hosting the Bears, and the winless Woden Rebels are desperate for a win before the Christmas break, but they won't find any charity from the third-placed Weston Creek Indians.
