So much so, she raised the most amount of anyone in the ACT in this year's MS Readathon.

Daisy was one of 483 children across the territory who participated in this year's readathon, raising a record-breaking total of $85,807, with all funds going to support the families of more than 25,600 Aussies living with Multiple Sclerosis.

Daisy reached her goal of being read 100 books by her mum Rebecca and dad Blake.

She also raised $2205 towards the cause.

Mum Rebecca said Daisy enjoyed the challenge.

"I had done it as a child myself, I was nowhere near as successful," she said, with a laugh.

"I think it's something most people have done at least once in their school years."

Rebecca said Daisy couldn't read yet, but could tell a story looking at the pictures. One her favourite books was about designer Coco Chanel from the Little People, Big Dreams series. The Bear Who Would Not Share was another favourite. Sister Elodie, 2, was also a fan of books.

"We always read a book before bed or just in down time," Rebecca said.

"It's a real bonding thing. My husband reads to the girls as well. I think it's just a lovely thing to do with your kids."

Daisy goes to daycare at Eucalyptus Montessori in Kambah and will start preschool at Holy Family Primary in Gowrie next year.

Rebecca said she did not expect Daisy to raise so much money, with friends and family donating.

She and Blake own Subway franchises at Tuggeranong, Greenway, Chisholm and Erindale and customers also put their spare change into tins left on the counter. It all added up to make Daisy the highest fundraiser.

"I've explained it to her and she's really proud of what's she's done," Rebecca said.

"She doesn't really understand money or the amount but she knows she's done a good job."

Across Australia, 274,504 books were read in this year's MS Readathon, with the most read books including Alpacas with Maracas and Pig the Pug.
