Canberra national broadband network customers have had internet and phone services restored on Tuesday morning after a local service outage.
An NBN Co spokesperson apologised for the two-to-three-hour period when services were offline following customers complaints.
"Overnight NBN Co engineers conducted a routine maintenance upgrade to the Civic exchange which connects superfast broadband to families and businesses in and around the Civic area," the spokesman said.
"Once the upgrade was completed, two out of a total of 30 internet and phone service providers in the area took longer than usual to resume the delivery of services."
He said affected phone and internet services have now been restored.
"NBN Co apologises for any inconvenience these works may have caused," the spokesman said.
