'Take me to the laaaaaaake!'
The marriage between James and Whitney Mongiat is well and truly over, but Whitney's hysterical screams will carry on in the secretly filmed video that James posted on YouTube a few days ago.PT1M50S http://www.canberratimes.com.au/action/externalEmbeddedPlayer?id=d-2qoh1 620 349 July 26, 2013
It's the final shoutdown.
A woman in the United States who was recorded on film by her husband having a good old-fashioned wobbly in their car has hit back at her partner by filing for divorce just 14 months after their wedding.
The video of Whitney Mongiat, 30, a nurse from Nashville, Tennessee, is uncomfortable viewing, showing the overwrought woman kicking and screaming in the passenger seat of the car after her husband refused to take her on an outing to the lake on a sweltering Saturday. He has also refused to stop and buy her cigarettes.
"I do all my shit to have a Saturday to hang out with my husband," she says on the video.
"You have to stop and get me some cigarettes! I'm about to go crazy!'
"I never get my way! I just want one day when I get my way. One day."
The argument quickly escalates with the pair trading barbs.
"It's my day to get shit done too, and you're acting like an 11-year-old who didn't get the toy from Walmart,' James Mongiat replies.
The video went quickly viral on news sites around the world but has been removed from YouTube as the clip violates the site's policy of posting “prohibiting content designed to harass, bully or threaten".
Ms Mongiat and her husband, James, posted videos separately to RightThisMinute.com - a site similar to YouTube - after the initial video went viral to air their complaints about each other.
Ms Mongiat claimed her husband had promised to take her to the lake with some friends, but he changed his mind after they got into an argument.
She said her temper tantrum was the result of bullying by her husband, adding she was humiliated as friends, family and co-workers had viewed the video.
Mr Mongiat responded claiming his wife was prone to screaming fits and as a result, their marriage had broken down.
He claimed he had secretly recorded his wife in the throes of a temper tantrum to show to "the world" what he "put up with".
Mr Mongiat has moved out of the marital home and has accepted his wife's demand for a divorce.
