Five people have been hospitalised after a multi-car crash during peak hour north of Melbourne.
Emergency services were called to the collision on Pascoe Vale Road near Taggerty Crescent in Coolaroo about 5pm.
It is believed up to five cars were involved in the crash.
An MFB spokesman said about 20 firefighters were sent to the scene.

An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said one man in 30s had been taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital with minor injuries in stable condition.
Three more people will be taken to the hospital and another person will be transported to the Northern Hospital, she said.
Paramedics assessed four other people at the scene but they have not suffered serious injuries.
VicRoads issued a traffic alert advising drivers that all lanes southbound on Pascoe Vale Road near Coolaroo Station are closed.
"Emergency services on site. Drivers are advised to avoid the area," the warning said. North bound lanes are open.
Police are at the crash site directing traffic.
