A CROYDON North man in his 60s was charged yesterday with one count of murder.

Ron James Watson, 66, had been questioned by homicide detectives over the murder of a 64-year-old man at an address on Maroondah Highway. The man is believed to have been killed shortly after midnight yesterday.

The men were known to each other.

Watson will appear in Melbourne Magistrates Court today.

Police will prepare a report for the State Coroner.
