Sandra Pevitt was found by family members.
A Werribee woman who sparked a major search after vanishing from her home a week ago has been found at a shopping centre in coastal Victoria.
Family members found Sandra Pevitt safe and well at the Anglesea Shopping Centre on the Great Ocean Road about 7.30pm on Tuesday.
Police were called to the shopping centre and spoke to the 45-year-old and her family.
It ended a week-long search for Ms Pevitt, who had last spoken to her partner Paul Czech at her Werribee home about 8.30am on November 7.
Ms Pevitt is believed to have told a family member that she was going to see a doctor on the day of her disappearance, but police said she did not have an appointment with her regular GP and did not attend that day.
She was then spotted on CCTV footage withdrawing money from her bank account at the Wyndham Village Shopping Centre on Sayers Road, Tarneit on Friday.
Her discovery comes after another missing Melbourne woman was found safe in Tasmania after a weekend search.
Playwright Katie Dircks, 30, sparked fears when she did not return home on Friday night after leaving work.
Friends and family of The Melbourne Theatre Company employee flooded social media with pleas for help to find Ms Dircks over the weekend when she did not arrive home.
In a short statement Monday evening Victorian police said: "Elwood woman Katie Dircks has been located safe and well this afternoon. Investigators would like to thank members of the public and the media for their assistance."
