Police hunt man after 11 stores robbed in Southland shopping centre

Police have released photos of man they are hunting after he broke into 11 stores in a shopping centre in Melbourne’s south-east.

The thefts happened at Southland shopping centre on the Nepean Highway, Cheltenham on Tuesday, February 25 around 5.20am.

Police said he forced his way into 11 food kiosks and a cafe at the shopping centre, stealing a small quantity of cash.

The man, believed to be aged in his 20s, fled via the main entrance.

He is Caucasian in appearance with a medium build and heavily tattooed on his arms and legs. He was wearing a green baseball cap with orange writing on the front, a black Elwood T-shirt, white gym shorts and carrying a white Nike shoulder bag.

Kingston Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating.
