Police are appealing for public help after a Staffordshire puppy was stolen from a home in Melbourne's north-east.
Investigators have been told the dog, named Axel, was inside the home when thieves broke into the property between 9am and 3pm on Wednesday.
The thieves forced their way into the house via a window and also stole a laptop.
The puppy is a blue male Staffordshire Terrier with a white blaze on his chest. He is micro-chipped and not de-sexed.
