A man has been lucky to escape serious injury after falling from a mobility scooter at a railway station in Melbourne's east.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said that paramedics were called to Canterbury station just before 9.30am on Friday after the man fell onto the track area.
The man was conscious and breathing, she said, and only had minor injuries to his face.
He was taken to The Alfred hospital for treatment.
Metro Trains said the man had fallen from the mobility scooter.
Services on the Belgrave and Lilydale lines were delayed for about 15 minutes city-bound but have since returned to normal.
