Two men have died in two separate crashes on Victoria’s roads overnight.

A man believed to be in his 30s died at around 6.55am Sunday, after his Toyota 4WD left the road and hit a tree in Craigieburn.

Police believe the man was travelling south along Potter Street when he lost control of the vehicle.

The driver was the car’s only occupant.

In a separate incident north-west of Melbourne a man is dead and another man has been seriously injured after their vehicle veered off the road and rolled near Ballan on Saturday night.

The 64-year-old man was driving a Toyota tray utility in Dales Creek near Ballan when his car left the road at around 10.20pm Saturday.

Police said the vehicle then travelled down an embankment before rolling onto the driver’s side, killing the 64-year-old.The passenger, a 69-year-old man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The deaths bring the state’s road toll to 27, compared to 34 for the same period last year.
