Lord Mayor Robert Doyle and his wife Emma Page Campbell have a new son, Henry Ian Bennett Doyle.
Young Henry was born on Anzac Day and takes part of his father's moniker with the name Bennett.
It is Ms Page Campbell's first child with Councillor Doyle. Cr Doyle, aged 60, has three adult children from his first marriage.
On Anzac Day at 4.20pm, he tweeted the arrival: ''Emma and I are delighted to welcome a healthy Henry Ian Bennett Doyle to the world. Emma is a Champion.''

Cr Doyle told Fairfax Media they were ''taking it very slowly at the moment.''
On Thursday last week, Cr Doyle told a newspaper he was “unbelievably excited’’.
“The bags are packed and we are ready to go. I can jump in the car and head to Frances Perry at a moment’s notice,'' he said.
On Saturday he tweeted: ''The Twitterverse can be very generous: thank you all for your kind wishes. I feel blessed.''
He was congratulated by Victorian Treasurer Michael O'Brien and Geelong Mayor Darryn Lyons who quipped: ''The Melbourne royal baby has arrived.''
